VOLUNTEER TO HELP YOUR COMMUNITY

We need your help! Consider becoming a volunteer for the Victim Services Unit of the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office (VSU).

  • Victim Advocates provide 24-hour on-call assistance to victims of violent crime or crisis. Volunteers work with law enforcement officers throughout Eagle County to provide support, advocacy, and referrals to those impacted by crime or critical incidents.
  • Choose your own hours.
  • No experience necessary, we will train you.
Our advocate training consists of 10-12 sessions on crisis intervention, listening skills, grief, community referrals, domestic violence, sexual assault, trauma response, and more!

Upon completion of the training, volunteer advocates are on call with a schedule of your choosing! You can go about your normal routine unless you’re needed.

Volunteering to help your neighbors is a rewarding experience and an opportunity to make a positive impact in times of crisis.

Virtual / Information sessions are held several times each year.
