Protection Order Modifications

When someone is arrested for domestic violence (and certain other crimes) the Judge typically will issue a mandatory ‘Protection Order’.  If the victim in the case wishes to request changes to the ‘Protection Order’ they can do so by completing a form and talking with an advocate.

• To complete the form you must choose the appropriate web page for English or Spanish.
• Using the link below -OR- Scan the QR code to navigate there on your phone.

To use the QR code simply open the camera function on your phone and center the graphic, as if you are taking a picture of it.  At the top of your screen, a box will appear, touch the box and it will open the webpage/document where you can click on the link to complete the form.  

After you submit & sign the form electronically, your request will be automatically delivered to an Advocate to review.  

• The Advocate will contact you to complete a safety plan.  
• Once completed, the Advocate will submit your request to the (DA) District Attorney’s Office.  
• The DA will then make a recommendation and file your request with the Courts.  
• The Courts will make the final decision. The ultimate decision is up to the Judge.

Paper forms are still available upon request but may slow the process.

Modificaciones a la orden de protección

Cuando alguien es arrestado por violencia doméstica, (y ciertos otros delitos)
el juez generalmente emite una orden de protección obligatoria. Si la víctima en el caso desea solicitar cambios a la Orden de protección, puede hacerlo completando un formulario y hablando con un ayudante de víctimas.

• Para completar el formulario debe elegir la página web adecuada para inglés o español.
• Puede hacerlo utilizando el enlace a continuación. O use el código QR para navegar allí en su teléfono.

Para usar el código QR, simplemente abra la función de cámara en su teléfono y centre el gráfico, como si estuviera tomando una foto. En la parte superior de la pantalla aparecerá un cuadro, toque el cuadro y se abrirá la página web / documento donde puede hacer clic en el enlace para completar el formulario.

Después de enviar y firmar el formulario electrónicamente, su solicitud se enviará automáticamente a un ayudante de víctimas.

• El ayudante de víctimas se comunicará con usted para completar un plan de seguridad.
• Una vez completado, la ayudante de victimas enviará su solicitud a la Oficina del Fiscal de Distrito.
• Ellos harán una recomendación y presentarán su solicitud ante los tribunales. La decisión final depende del juez.
