The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) relies on information from the public to direct patrol assignments. A person may request additional patrol by calling the Vail Public Safety Communication Center 970-479-2201 to speak to a patrol deputy or send an email to info@sheriff.eagle.co.us.
Generally the following information will be required:
Anonymous information is also accepted by the ECSO; however, in order to more efficiently investigate and follow up on a complaint, contact information is appreciated.

- Name
- Address
- Telephone number
- Specifics of complaint (i.e., "speeders every day on Lake Creek Road between 7 and 8 a.m., especially a newer model black Chevy Tahoe with plate #, driven by John Doe.")
